These small finches are an absolute favourite, they will nest in willows, hawthorn and alder and are also attracted by new conifer plantations. They are not easy to find, and I went to the Wyre Forest to photograph this selection.

YELLOWHAMMER |
One of the brightest yellow birds, it is a common sight in the countryside, and often seen perched on a high twig and has the familiar song, usually referred to as "A little bit of bread and no cheese" They are widespread, although I did take these pictures with the Redpolls in the Wyre Forest. |

This attractive wagtail was taken at Llanfairfechan , but it is pretty common anywhere in the UK, favouring anywhere where there is water! |
